Moony Moony

« Moony Moony » is actually a print of a part of my large cyanotype called « Moony ».

It has been created with a beautiful plant called Lunaria Annua.

Lunaria comes from Latin “Luna” meaning moon, referring moon-like appearance of the plant’s seed pods. The transparency of the internal membrane gives this magical results with the cyanotype technique!

Also called Honesty, this plant symbolizes sincerity but also abundance and prosperity (in French, we call it Monnaie du Pape which means the Pope’s Money). 

The name of this cyanotype, “Moony” came very naturally in reference to both the Moon and Money!
